Writings
It has been my dream for years to become a published author. I love fantasy and science fiction, and so my literary bent is towards those two genres. I have only completed one manuscript in my lifetime, however, so this dream is proving to be quite a challenge! My latest effort is tentatively titled “Be Were” though this is only a temporary title until I can figure out a better one.
I took down my excerpt because, according to Wil Wheaton (you might remember him as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: TNG) you should not post up or give out bits of your writings before you’re done! He wrote it today, titled ‘five simple ways to keep on writing.‘ And so… I haven’t done any actual writing for my book in quite a while! Oops!
The hubby keeps asking when I’m going to be published and he can retire. LOL no pressure!
My goal is to have a complete first draft by January 2009. I don’t know how many words this first draft will turn out to be, but I’ll use the random goal of 50,000 words. So I have 122 days to write 50,000 words which translates to roughly 410 a day, or 2900 a week.
Piece of cake.
Maybe.
